I know I should've never tried it because my skin is sensitive. My skin peeled & it has red patches..more pimples are popping out! What I did to get the skin I've always had was to wash it with cetaphil. Now my face is back to normal. I guess I'll just use the astringent on my elbows & not on my face. I don't recommend using it on the face. Don't believe the hype. Everyone's skin are different, it may work on others & not on you. I learned my lesson. Beginning of summer, I broke out so bad. My aunt recommended this and I was skeptical because I've seen others with burnt, red, peeling face. But I did anyways. The first week my skin did peel off. However, I noticed that my skin is less oily now, but it is still oily. My face was more red and it stings when you apply it. When I go out, I make sure I wear a light moisturizer with SPF. But if you can, avoid the sun as much as possible like wearing a hat or staying under the shades because you might get dark spots. I am in my second week using Maxi-peel 2 with Belo's face wash and I can see an improvement. The reddening is less and my huge pimples have flattened. All I need is to get rid of the blemishes which will take a while. So yes I would recommend this product along with a whitening face wash that would suit your skin. It just counteracts the redness a little bit. A moisturizer with SPF would be highly needed as well. If you have severe acne cases, don't be disappointed if it doesn't work after 2 or 3 days as some people said it did for them. Everyone's skin is different. After 2 weeks, I've seen improvements.
